The jacket and internal graphics for my second book were designed by my son Kevin, who also did that same work on my first book. It was a hard task for him to surpass the work done on POTPOURRI OF THE MIND, but somehow he has done just that.

Back cover
The back of the book jacket shows a picture of me wearing my magician's outfit. Accompanying me is my grandson, Aaron, to whom my second book is dedicated. The paragraph on the back cover - - which may be somewhat difficult to read - - is as follows:
Joel D. Ash has been an amateur magician since the age of eight, and he still puts on an annual magic show for his grandson's birthday. The above picture was taken at that time. The section of the book entitled "Magic and the Occult" contains eleven poems which reflect his many years of study in that area. Mr. Ash resides in Weston, CT which he considers a place of magical beauty.
